Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 July 2026
These Terms describe how LawnOps and Find a Mower work. They are not a substitute for legal advice tailored to your situation.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LawnOps, the business management software provided by LawnOps ("LawnOps", "we", "us", "our"), including our web application, marketing websites, Find a Mower directory and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, listing or claiming a business, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Who can use LawnOps
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account. You're responsible for the accuracy of the business information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including actions taken by staff you invite.
2. The Service
LawnOps provides tools for quoting, scheduling, run sheets, invoicing, on-site payment collection, an optional lead-generating website, and Find a Mower — a free public directory where homeowners can find lawn and garden care businesses. Some features (AI quoting, AI routing, AI assistant, third-party accounting/calendar integrations) depend on third-party providers and may be limited, changed or discontinued if those providers change their services.
3. Pricing & billing
- The LawnOps app is free to use. Creating an account and running the app (quoting, scheduling, run sheets, invoicing, Pay QR, your website and a free Find a Mower listing) does not require a paid subscription, and no credit card is required to start.
- Operators pay only to unlock the individual marketplace leads they choose. Lead unlock pricing is shown before you buy at Checkout and processed by Stripe. See Marketplace lead sales.
- Some Operators are on an earlier paid subscription plan (AUD $15/week). Where you hold an active subscription, it continues at the rate shown at checkout and processed by Stripe until you cancel, unless we have granted complimentary access. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from within the app, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no partial refunds are issued for that period unless required by law.
- You authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your nominated payment method for LawnOps lead unlock fees and any subscription fees that apply to your account. Customer job payments you collect via Pay QR / Stripe Connect settle to your Stripe account and bank — see Section 8.
4. Find a Mower directory
Find a Mower is a free Australian business directory. By using it (as a homeowner, listed business, or Operator) you acknowledge:
- Public business information. We may create or display listings using business details that are already publicly available (for example from a business's own website or another public business listing), or that a business submits when listing itself.
- No application required to appear. A business may appear in the directory without having applied to join LawnOps. Appearance is not an endorsement, partnership, employment relationship or paid placement unless we clearly say otherwise.
- Accuracy. We aim to show accurate public business facts. Businesses are responsible for correcting their details after claim, or may request correction/removal.
- Claim. Claiming a listing lets the business control and update it and, depending on the flow, create or link a LawnOps account.
- Remove / opt-out. Listed businesses can remove themselves via one-click remove links in our emails or by contacting us. We honour removals promptly and stop listing outreach for that listing.
- No sale of lists. We do not sell directory contact lists.
- Homeowner use. Quote requests you submit are shared with relevant Operators / routing as described in our Privacy Policy. You must provide accurate contact details and only request services you genuinely want.
- Marketplace widen. If no Operator covers your suburb, we may offer your request more broadly (nearby suburbs, then your state) or hold it for purchase by Operators who buy area leads. Contact details are only released after an Operator claims or purchases the lead. See Marketplace lead sales.
4A. Marketplace lead sales
Where LawnOps offers Operators a paid lead purchase (Checkout to unlock a customer quote request):
- Payment is for introduction / contact details for that request — not for completed lawn work and not a guarantee of hire.
- By completing Checkout you confirm you are authorised to buy for that business, will use the contact only to quote or discuss that job, and will not resell or spam the customer.
- Dud-lead credit: if a purchased lead turns out to be uncontactable, already sorted or otherwise not genuine, you can report it within the window and monthly limit described in-product. Where we accept the report, we credit the amount back as account credit toward a future lead unlock rather than a cash refund, unless a refund is required by law. We may instead refund via Stripe at our discretion. Chargebacks may result in revoked access to that lead.
- Exclusive timed offers and sold exclusivity are described in-product; once sold, the lead is not re-offered to others.
Full support process: operators should contact support with the Checkout receipt. Homeowners: see Privacy Policy Marketplace.
5. "Verified" badge
Where we show a Verified badge, it means we confirmed the business's ABN against the Australian Business Register (ABR) using ABN Lookup (when configured). It does not mean:
- the business paid for verification;
- we endorse the quality of their work;
- we have checked insurance, licences beyond ABN, or customer reviews; or
- the business is employed by or affiliated with LawnOps.
6. Your data and content
You (the Operator) retain ownership of the client, job and business data you enter into LawnOps ("Your Content"). You grant LawnOps a licence to host, process and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you (e.g. generating quotes/invoices, syncing to connected integrations, powering AI features you use, showing your public directory profile and website).
You're responsible for having the necessary rights and consents to enter your customers' personal information into the Service, and for using that information in accordance with applicable privacy law (including the Australian Privacy Act).
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, including directory sourcing, ABN checks, email practices and removal rights.
7. AI features
AI-generated quotes, price estimates, route suggestions and assistant responses are provided to save you time, but are estimates only and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content (pricing, line items, schedules) before sending it to a customer or relying on it commercially. LawnOps is not liable for losses arising from unreviewed AI output.
8. Payments, Stripe Connect & Pay QR
Payment processing is provided by Stripe and is also subject to Stripe’s terms and privacy policy, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement where you connect an account.
- Merchant of record. When you connect Stripe and accept customer payments (including Pay QR on the run sheet and card checkout on invoices), you are the merchant of record for those charges. Funds settle to your Stripe balance and payout to your nominated business bank account on Stripe’s schedule (often about 2–3 business days in Australia, subject to Stripe).
- LawnOps is the platform. We provide software and Connect onboarding links. We are not the seller of your lawn/garden services to the homeowner for those charges, and subscription fees to LawnOps are separate from customer job payments.
- Onboarding & compliance. You must complete Stripe’s hosted verification, keep your account information accurate, and maintain charges/payouts eligibility. You must not use Pay QR or Connect for restricted businesses, products or activities under Stripe’s rules or Australian law.
- Refunds, disputes & chargebacks. You are responsible for customer refunds, disputes and chargebacks on payments to your connected account, and for any related fees Stripe charges you, except where law or Stripe’s terms require otherwise.
- Risk & remediation. If Stripe or we reasonably believe there is fraud, restricted activity, incomplete verification, or elevated risk, we may suspend or disconnect Pay QR / Connect features and ask you to provide further information. You agree to respond promptly to verification or remediation requests from Stripe or LawnOps.
- Communication. You agree we may email you about Connect status, verification needs, and payment-related risk or compliance matters using the contact details on your account.
Optional integrations with Google Calendar, Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks are subject to each provider’s own terms. LawnOps is not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to store/transmit content that infringes someone else's rights;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another organisation's data;
- Interfere with, disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service;
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications in breach of Australian law (including the Spam Act 2003);
- Misrepresent affiliation with LawnOps, or misuse the Verified badge;
- Scrape or harvest the directory or Service in a way that breaches these Terms or applicable law; or
- Resell or white-label the Service without our written agreement; or
- Use Stripe Connect / Pay QR for activity that Stripe or we reasonably treat as restricted, high-risk, or unlawful.
10. Free lead-generating website
If you publish a LawnOps-hosted website, you're responsible for the accuracy of the content you publish (business claims, pricing, service areas) and for responding appropriately to leads it captures. You may take the website offline from Website settings in the app. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
11. Free website advertising offer
From time to time we advertise a free business website as part of setting up your LawnOps account (the "Offer"). The Offer is subject to these additional conditions:
- Claiming the Offer creates your free LawnOps account as described in-product — no credit card is required to start.
- Your website is built and published as part of onboarding you into the Service, not as a standalone giveaway.
- The website is provided free as part of your LawnOps account. It remains published while your account is active and in good standing under these Terms.
- We may take a website offline if the account is closed, or if content breaches these Terms or applicable law.
- The Offer cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred, or claimed without also creating a LawnOps account, and we may decline or withdraw the Offer for suspected abuse (e.g. duplicate or fraudulent submissions).
12. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access, or remove a directory listing, if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay subscription fees, request removal, or if we reasonably believe your use or listing poses a security, legal or trust risk to LawnOps or other users. You may cancel your account at any time. On termination, we retain your data for a reasonable period in line with our Privacy Policy before deletion, except where retention is legally required.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content or directory information will be accurate or complete. Directory listings are informational; homeowners should make their own checks before hiring. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms — except where Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply and cannot be excluded.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LawnOps is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss (including lost profits or lost business) arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the Service or refunding the fees paid for the affected period.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes, notify active Operators by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
